AllChimes.org  ..... All Tower Bells ..... Chimes our specialty.

The DEMISE of the keeper of these records.  How to take over - what a shame if ALLCHIMES doesn't continue - from the perpetrator and demisee of this web site.

Being a mainframe programmer and a PC web page designer are two different worlds.

A how to do it for successors.

Apparently you must have a printer hooked up in order to get your dbase to work, otherwise it sits there and is inoperable.

Locations are kept in an updateable dBase file.  It has its own menu and many programs which were written before the newer programming languages came along.  They aint broke, and sometimes complicated, so don't even think about replacing them.  The location data for the website is generated with the HTML coding for each search.  Getting automatic click to websites was a programming nightmare, but now works.

New sites are added to the dBase file and assigned the next number.  There are over 1400 now.  Pictures and documents are filed separately in sequence using the dBase number.  A script using NY216 means dBase#216.  Scrolling thru NY State you will find that it is St. Patrick's in Troy, NY.

Someday the bell will toll for me.  Can't let that happen to ALLCHIMES.  It is YOUR site.

++++++++++++++++++++++ SITE INFORMATION +++++++++++++++++++++

One dbase file BELL.DBF is the Master File to create all other files to go to AllChimes.  All the information is extracted by dbase program.

1. All below are extracted, massaged and generated from dbase programs from BELL-MNU.

2. The lists are all generated in dbase .TXT files with the html coding embedded.
That is why they can be loaded directly into the Front Page files (in normal mode).

Procedure to bring special files generated from BELL.DBF to AllChimes for [?]
